Our Customers Think We're Awesome!

"We have 5 primary reservoirs, Williams 5 billion gal, Bresler 5 billion gal, Ferguson 2.5 billion gal, Metzger 2.5 billion gal, and the Twins 139 million gal. We obviously couldn’t cover all our surfaces, so we decided to deploy 2 of the units. Within the first month, we were seeing results. As a result of <our> findings, we placed an order for 3 additional units for the remaining reservoirs. We are pleased with the results and look forward to a relationship with Hydro Bioscience for many years to come."

Our algae remediation systems are in thousands of locations all over the world with proven, positive results in as little as 14 days. Here’s a look at just a few before and after photos.

“We have been plagued with a large amount of mussels in the grates and in sea-water pipes, inside the factory. This caused the water temperature in heat exchanges to increase. As a result, frequent and costly maintenance control, including regular cleaning of the pipes and grates was required. After installation almost no more mussels where present. The few mussels that remained, were already dead, as a result of the Ultrasound system. A noted effect, was a reduction of biofilm and algae on the walls, so the mussels can no longer get access to food. ”

“The growth of the algae in our holding lagoon would reach tremendous levels during the spring and summer months. This created a tremendous challenge for us to comply with the regulations and not put any additional chemicals in the lagoons that could have additional issues with other parameters of our wastewater system. We put one in the middle of our lagoon, approximately 8 water acres, and the algae levels went down considerably after about 5 weeks and continue to go down still.”

“I have to agree with the other utility companies we visited, I have no plans to switch back to chemical algicide, the equipment was tough and the company (HBS) was easy to work with... We have three other reservoirs that all needed multiple Copper Sulfate treatments last year, the reservoir with the ultrasonic did not need any chemical applications. We are purchasing ultrasonic units to treat two more reservoirs this summer since the cost of Copper Sulfate keeps going up and we can see the return on investment. ”

“The HBS Quattro-DB was purchased and installed at the Olga Surface Water Treatment Plant in Lee County Florida. The plant treats water from the Caloosahatchee River, which is regularly plagued with algal blooms. The first stage coagulation clarifier at the plant does not have any form of disinfectant, and therefore builds up long stringy green algae very quickly. The clarifier would have to be taken down annually to clean the algae off. Sometimes, depending on the build-up, more often than that. The installation of the control box and “head” were very quick and simple. At the time of the installation, large mats of algae were all over the clarifier surface, and the strings of algae attached to the walls were around three to four feet in length. Within a couple of days of the install, small bubbles were observed all around the mats of algae. After three to four months of the unit running, the algae had subsided dramatically. There were no longer stringy green algae on the walls and the mats of thick surficial algae had diminished to a minimum. Other than the large amount of small surficial bubbles, that I can only assume, are the byproduct of the “destroyed” algae, the water clarity and treatment had improved dramatically. Furthermore, there have been no observable negative impacts whatsoever from the installed unit on the plant treatment or otherwise. In fact, everyone that has witnessed the change in the clarifier has been astonished. The results have been so overwhelmingly positive, that an additional unit will be purchased and installed in the plant intake to combat the Blue-green algae that can appear throughout the year.”

“In 1998 I was raking my pond on a weekly basis to control algae. In one week, I once filled 42 lawn bags with dried algae. The work was arduous and I was getting more and more algae as time went on. I was getting tied of all the work and my pond was not great.

In 1999 I bought the Quattro DB unit. I thought it was expensive, but I was told it would eliminate my algae problem. It sounded too good to be true. My wife said look at all the work you are doing, it is worth a try. The unit worked perfectly ever since, the only work required was once or twice a year I would scrub it with a brush to keep it clean.

Ever since the Quattro DB was installed, I never had to rake algae again. The unit was worth every cent I paid for it. I recommend the technology to people I meet with ponds. When I think of the amount of time and all the chemicals I was using before I obtained the Quattro DB, I am very thankful I got it. ”
